New year, new us!
ProviderTrust is excited to announce our newest feature in Passport. As of March 18th, 2020 license verification clients have the ability to pull retroactive screenshots for historical *verification of licenses in Passport going back to October 2018 - including licenses previously deleted from the system! For a quick look at this new functionality, we've included a video below. For a deeper dive into how we got here and what this means for you, continue reading below!
How we got here
License verification has always been an obvious value-add to our holistic monitoring services. We stand by our promise to verify every provided license at the primary source on an agreed-upon cadence for your organization. We haven't always had the best solution for proving those historical verifications, however. Up until now, to gain access to those screenshots, users would have to contact our support team, who would then coordinate with our internal monitoring team to get the right data in the hands of our users - fast!
This was an unsustainable method, and frankly, a disservice to our clients. We've often received frantic calls in the middle of an audit and had to scramble to get the right historical verification in the right time frame. We knew there must be a better way!
At the end of 2019, we put together a quick prototype in order to test an idea we had for showing these historical verifications. We reached out to a number of users and asked them to test our prototype and provide their feedback. As it turns out...our first prototype failed these tests, which was excellent! Having that feedback early in the process allowed us to try new ideas before dedicating any development resources to building them - in this case preventing us from building something that didn't provide any value to you, the user.
After processing all the user feedback, we were able to redirect the project and refine our solution. To all of our clients willing to give us their time and attention, we are in deepest gratitude for your partnership.
So how does it work?
In Passport, navigate to the “Provider” tab -> select “View” on an individual provider, and then "Monitor." Scroll down to the "License Verification Records" table. Once here, select the button that reads "View history."
The pop-up that appears is your primary workspace. You can view all licenses for an individual provider, current or trashed, and all *verifications for that license. Current licenses are denoted by a blue circle and deleted licenses are denoted by a grey circle. When you toggle to a new license, you will see all verifications and their date. You also have the option to constrain your results by month and year.
Once you've found the verification you would like, select the "Download" button. This will generate an audit-ready PDF with the provider's name, discipline, unit, facility, and monitoring start and end date. Below, you will find their license number, issuer, and the exact screenshot taken at the primary source for the date you have chosen.
Why does this matter?
In the event of an audit, you are now able to fully own the proof for any historic verifications. No more calling support and scrambling to make it work! The PDF is designed with you in mind - to give you a simple, no-nonsense document for your records or for your auditor.
That's all for now! As always, we appreciate your support, feedback, and welcome any questions or concerns.
*Note: Some historical verifications may not be reflected in our system. For specific details on certain individuals, please contact the client care support team.
